I’ve kept every single one. I call it my “don’t quit teaching” folder.

Give a card. Say something nice. Don’t lie.

2020 ⏩ 2025

Five years ago, the first lockdown was announced. Life and education as we knew it suddenly changed overnight.

Our resilient 2019/20 cohort adapted and persevered through their training, going on to achieve brilliant things 🙌

What I love about this video is that it is full of our graduates, people I was lucky enough to work with at the very start of their careers.

Seeing them thrive as teachers is a great reminder of why I love this job, especially after a half-term that was short but felt LONG!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone

2/2 Especially with the threat from Reform hanging over her.

It’s a dangerous path for the Conservative Party. If they want to talk about integration, they need clarity, not divisive rhetoric that reinforces stereotypes. This kind of approach won’t unite society; it will just deepen the divides.

Honestly, I give up!

I watched Kemi Badenoch on #BBCLauraK this morning.

Her interview was all over the place. Linking awful crimes that no rationale human can comprehend to a “lack of integration” feels reckless. She risks alienating minorities & fuelling the fires of the right.

This was a highlight of the day, along with the golden ticket prize draw! What a genius idea—the buzz in the school when you made the announcements was unreal.

We achieved @unicefmedia.bsky.social Silver Rights Respecting School award today.
And I am thrilled as the huge diversity of our global community is celebrated so brilliantly. The best moments in this process have been hearing our pupils proclaim their pride in our school. Making Manchester Magic.

Great to have the Education Minister Stephen MorganMP visit Manchester Academy today to discuss AI with our staff and a brilliant group of Y10 students. Their questions were punchy and we were all interested in the new government’s response to the challenges of AI! Thanks for visiting Moss Side.

What I loved about Friday was how enthusiastic everyone was, literally soaking up knowledge to apply this week.

From a personal point of view, experiencing the perspective of a new cohort is always so humbling. #walkintheirshoes

Yes, this is the positive side of social media—nothing 'musky' about it!

Here’s a throwback picture of you and Mr. Magic AKA @jameseldon.bsky.social

Is Jack or Jamie on here yet?? If not, get them on.

Staying on here.

Fine for work.

That musky world is not for me… I do not have the time or patience to keep blocking or muting the number of racist tweets I saw on a daily basis.

Btw - I see Instagram/Threads/Facebook as being non work related.

Glad to see you here!

Honestly, I can't go back to that musky place unless there's a drastic change.

It was exhausting trying to block & mute.

Unfortunately, that platform won't improve without changes from the top.

I hope this place stays positive, where disagreements are handled kindly.

That musky smell has turned Twitter into an echo chamber of hatred. Fighting the algorithm feels impossible. Moving to a new platform is something we ALL need to consider seriously.

It would be great to see this discussed on TRiP because, at this rate, Twitter risks becoming another Truth Social.
