I always thought the robot voice on the T (ca. 2000) sounded mocking when it announced “Braintree.”
Stretching my neck while wearing earbuds. It sounds like my neck is full of Pop Rocks.
I served there when I was in high school (when it was still the Glory Hole). I can’t remember if I only did it once but it felt like every meal was hot dogs.
I didn’t realize Coachella had any music I would care to hear.
I lived in that building.
I may have to borrow this term.
It doesn’t sound like a fun job but I sent that article to my gamer kid anyway. 😂
I was about to say, “is there any topic besides religion where people are so confidently wrong almost all the time,” but you know what, never mind.
Congratulations! I look forward to seeing what you create!
There’s really no good outcome here.
I suspect students would appreciate advising that treats them as individuals!
They can put students in cohorts, which will make the students want to stay in school. No pilot study so impossible to know whether it will work or just be a disaster.
You just have to be one of the "good ones."
Last I heard, my university is planning to start picking first-year students' classes for them. No advising needed; you just get drop-kicked into whatever classes are available, just like in high school.

A purple promotional flyer for ‘A Queer Muslim Needs Assessment’ by Reem Itani, UW–Madison, featuring three polaroid-style photos of Pride demonstrators holding signs reading ‘Trans Muslims Are Everywhere’ and ‘Imaan LGBTQI Muslims.’ The flyer lists four bullet points: one 30-minute interview, one 6-minute survey, completely anonymous, and email ritani2@wisc.edu for more info.
Calling all queer Muslims over the age of 18! Reem is conducting research associated with The Ayah Project to construct a Queer Muslims needs assessment to better understand the experiences and needs of queer Muslims across the U.S. If you are interested, email ritani2@wisc.edu for more information!
Hm, maybe! If it’s not too late yet.
Life is much easier with older children, though also less cute.
@profrosenblum.bsky.social is an expert on garlic (right?) so maybe he knows.
I'm not sure I even remember what mine were, which is a blessing. Maybe I'm not supposed to admit that. Too late.
Does all of this happen at the same time or is it a sequence?
“Overconfident uses of the Torah” could describe so many more things, too.

The least ugly hamantaschen I’ve ever made! Maybe because I used this biscuit cutting contraption.
