Just watched the Paul McCartney documentary today. Linda is a goddess.

The music in Pokémon Legends ZA is extremely good.
I want the equivalent of a LAN party for people who prefer single-player games. Everyone shows up with their device of choice to play their game of choice. Immaculate vibes, tight-knit community, and the quiet comfort of playing alone together.
Tell us about Billy Preston.
You okay, Spotify?
I got a chance to play Infinity before its upcoming release. It's exciting to see new Game Boy Color games, and I had a great time with it.

Yes, king. You better send us some pictochat!
I got the Base model (not the Lite), and it's everything that I could want in a handheld emulation device. I love it.
You're spot on. The older I get, the less interested I am in trying to convince anyone (or convincing myself for that matter).
I'm finally playing Pokémon Scarlet now that it plays well.
🤞
The 3D remake injects more story into the game (your mileage may vary). Pixel remaster is definitely more faithful.
Parable of the Sower was so good (but sad). I need to read the second one.
I've finished my 290th video game.
Ihatovo Monogatari
This is a weird Japanese adventure game for the Super Nintendo is whimsical, magical, and mundane in all the best ways. I have a few more thoughts on my blog. Click it. mediumq.wordpress.com/2025/08/01/i...
I just finished the first season of the anime Frieren. In a series that has much to say about relationships over the span of a long life, this quote from the final episode resonated with me.
“Frieren, always treasure the people you meet. Death is far from this lifetime’s only goodbye."
Now I enter the second half of my life with a priceless affirmation. I hope to approach it (and all those I have the privilege of meeting) with openness, curiosity, and empathy.
My wife made a survey, sent it out to a bunch of friends and family, and put it all together in a book. I was struck by how consistent the message was from the people I've encountered. Whatever the mission of the first half of my life has been... it has been a great success.
I've just turned 40, and I think the best gift that I've received over the years is the privilege of being a side character in so many people's stories. I'm grateful to all who've played a role in mine, whether you've known me for just a season or my entire life.
What about the Breath of the Wild VR mode?
Love this. I really enjoyed The nature experience in Firewatch. It was so peaceful and contemplative even though some of the surrounding story events were painful.
Spending Easter Sunday with my grandchild.
Trying boba for the first time.
There is hope for humanity yet.
I've finished my 285th video game.
The Last of Us Part II
This is a difficult game to recommend because it's such a dour experience, but it's also a very compelling one. I have a few more thoughts on the blog. Click it. mediumq.wordpress.com/2025/03/12/t...
I'd play that.
Yep. I added all the games I remember completing.
Growing up, I played a relatively small number of games over and over. By the time I started buying my own games, I was jumping from game to game and never finishing.
I started my old blog with the premise of finishing a game and writing about it.
I started keeping track in a blog in 2009 when I realized that I hadn't completed many games in spite of having dabbled widely. I compiled the sheet in 2018.
It's been a really fun ongoing project.
An absolute banger!
I'm not sure what to call this particular view on the ASU campus, but I'm struck by it whenever I walk by.
