Wanted to share with you the piece I’m currently working on!! This piece is inspired by a painting by an artist called J Redrick Smith and is part of what I hope to be a larger series of turning predominantly heterosexual subject paintings into a celebration of trans and queer joy

I've been working on this for a little while, I Iove the peaceful nature scenes of NMS and walking around beautiful planets. Lines are a mixture of charcoal pencil and 0.3mm fineliner. Grey markers for shading, and colour digitally painted!

The next page is a double page spread. On the left is a sketch of the tops of houses, trees and rolling hills as if you were looking out of a window. On the right-hand side of the page, is Mischief Teller's representation of how they view themselves. A canine-like anthropomorphic figure stands proudly, wearing a spiked collar, and has long hair. They have a tattoo of three dogs on their chest, scars and stretch marks. The writing on this page says: "1: I have changed. My body is different, and I am older. I hold more love and patience than I ever have."

Moving to the next double page spread, on left is the canine-like character kneeling on the ground, tenderly feeling a plant that is growing from the ground. There is a watering can next to them. On the right side of the page, the canine character and a cat-like character are showing affection by touching foreheads to one another. The writing on this page says "2: I am changing. But I am also tired! tired! tired! And so I cry and try, to put that energy into growing, and healing, and moving forward."

The final double page spread has the canine character and feline character standing behind a merchant table selling pins, and prints smiling at a customer. The customer is a dragon character who is pointing towards a print they want to buy. The writing on this page says "3: I will change. And I know at some point my work will touch others, and I might still struggle, but I will still carry love and a presence of safety everywhere I go." The final page is the back of the zine, which is a singular page that says "Mischief Teller Studios."

Mini comic about being trans and on HRT and being in love. I had a blast sketching this out, my intention was to create something without a reference, with emotion and positivity surrounding being trans.

I love supporting my trans friends and family, and I feel so loved and supported in return.

This has been banging around my brain since I found out / realized that the VA for Aloy in Horizon Forbidden West is the same as Enid in O.K.KO! Ashly Burch is such a talented individual!!!
