I was honored to speak on a panel at the Climate Center Policy Summit to highlight using climate credit funds to lower electricity bills during the hottest months of the year.
It’s time we take action to protect small businesses from predatory litigation. I’m proud to co-author SB 84 which will allow businesses time to cure ADA issues before costly litigation can occur.

Utility rates in CA should cover the cost to provide utility services, not pay phantom federal taxes that no longer exist. AB 2589 will return hard earned money to ratepayers by instructing the CPUC to adjust utility rates to take into account corporate tax cuts enacted by the federal government.
Reproductive health care in CA is a constitutional right. It's unconscionable that the Trump Admin would dishonor the service of veterans by banning reproductive care at VA facilities. Proud to partner w/Planned Parenthood Affiliates to ensure continued access to reproductive health services in CA
Rooftop solar has long been an accessible way for Californians to reduce their utility bills while also helping out the environment. AB 2389 will extend the property tax exemption that help many homeowners pencil out the investment, keeping California on track for its renewable energy goals
April is Autism Acceptance Month 💙 It’s a time to listen, learn, and support the autistic community, not just with awareness, but with acceptance, inclusion, and understanding. Every individual experiences the world differently, and those differences deserve respect and celebration.
Proud to be working w/Sarah Shulze Foundation on AB 1985, bringing mental health training to our collegiate athletic coaches. We hope to expand the roster of people in the lives of our kids and young adults who have the skills to identify mental health challenges and refer them to services.
Grateful to the UC Climate Research Forum for the invitation to join as a panelist in these timely & important discussions. It was a privilege to help bring policy perspective into focus alongside such insightful voices. Looking forward to continuing the conversation & advancing climate solutions.
Proud to work with CA SOS to help ensure Remote Online Notarization rolls out to Californians on time. The clarifications in AB 1977, passed by Asm. Judiciary, will ensure SOS is able to confidently bring this efficient & consumer friendly service to our residents from the comfort of their own homes
California is one step closer to unlocking Workforce Pell Grant funds with AB 1534 passing out of the Assembly Higher Education committee on Tuesday. #CALeg

Whether you’re a math nerd, a student, or just someone who enjoys a good slice of pie, today is the perfect excuse to celebrate both numbers and dessert. #PiDay
WTH? While Americans struggle to put food on their tables and pay their utility bills, our President sees higher gas prices as an opportunity for oil companies to profit more. 🤦♀️ SMH
A reminder for Moorpark residents. Stop by and say hello 👋🏻 to Chief Odenath and I this Saturday at High Sweet Creamery!
Even while away, it's great to meet with the business and community leaders from West Ventura County Business Alliance who continue to be engaged and move their cities and County of Ventura forward. TY for allowing me to share the work we're doing on your behalf in Sacramento.

Peyton Trilling was just 17 1/2 years old when she lost her battle with a rare form of cancer. In her relatively brief time here on earth, Peyton's impact was significant. Among all her other achievements, she served as a summer intern in my District Office this past year. 💔
2/2 I made it clear that any updates must maximize the California Climate Credit to deliver the greatest possible relief on utility bills. I’ll continue working to ensure Cap-and-Invest prioritizes affordability for Californians.
1/2 🧵Monday, I chaired an oversight hearing on updates to California’s Cap-and-Invest program, reauthorized last year through my bill, AB 1207. This program reduces greenhouse gas emissions while funding priorities like affordable housing, clean water, and wildfire prevention.
It was a privilege to speak with the incredible cohort at the Ventura County Leadership Academy this morning. Spending time with leaders who are committed to growth, collaboration, and service is always energizing. #AD42
Excited to share the final results of the Digital Upskilling program I was able to bring to Ventura County. Not only was the program a tremendous success, but the Economic Development Collaborative has prepared a replication toolkit available to anyone wishing to start a program of their own!
