:
Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an Illusion or Enchantment spell from the Sorcerer, Wizard, or Warlock spell list.

Sticks to Snakes
1st-level transmutation

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous

You transform one staff or stick into a wild serpentine.

Choose a stick or stafflike object no larger than a staff and no smaller than a wand, and usher your incantation. The object becomes a poisonous snake (CR of 1/8) and uses the appropriate statblock as per DM's discretion. When the snake's HP reaches 0, it reverts back to its original form, albeit broken.

If a Magical item is targeted, the snake keeps the item's statistics, and applies any damage bonuses to its bite attack. When a snake created this way reaches 0 HP, it reverts back to its original form, unbroken but no longer a magical item.

At Higher Levels: The caster can target one additional staff or stick for each spell level above 1st.

A lot of work can go into homebrew. Not just a simple splash of text.

For instance, I've spent a week so far planning out non-combative classes. Such as a cook, a blacksmith, and a craftsman.

I had someone mistake my use of Hero Forge as AI generation. After I explained that it was a character creator for making D&D miniatures, we both had a good laugh.

When I was younger, I would go to the toy store to get myself a gift.

Nowadays, I go to @barnesandnoble.com to get myself a gift.

A day late and a dollar short, but I plan on visiting at the end of the month as a belated trip for myself.

More homebrew coming soon, just took a few days to myself.

Any spells from Magic: The Gathering you want me to create homebrew for? Submit below. โคต๏ธ

Deck of Many Bees
Magic Item, Rare
The Deck of Many Bees contains fifty-two cards enchanted with sigils that summon a variety of bees in varying size and quantity. While they may be played with as a normal deck of playing cards, one may also use it to summon a number of bees to your aid.

Upon drawing a card from the deck, the player must roll a d20 and a d6. The d20 determines the quanitity of bees summoned, while the d6 determines the size of the bees as shown on the table below.

Bee Sizes:
1 - Tiny
2 - Small
3 - Medium
4 - Large
5 - Huge
6 - Gargantuan

When a card from the deck is used to summon bees, it vanishes. A deck missing any cards cannot be used to play card games. Once the last card is used, the deck box vanishes, and the entire deck reconstitutes at a random location.

Created by: MixTheSatyr, formerly CarumSarene.

More heatwaves are expected. Keep yourself cool!

Icy water makes you want to hydrate more, so stick to cold but not frigid water.

Watermelons are an amazing treat on hot days. The ripest watermelons will be the "ugliest" ones.

I enjoy them immensely. It would be a dream of mine to see them in concert someday.

My friend suggested this have additional affects on upcast. However, Keen Mind doesn't improve as the player levels up, does it?

And it's perfectly fine to feel that way. However, someday the franchises referenced in Universes Beyond will be memories of the past, no different than those of older sets. Nothing is completely timeless. They will eventually be remarked as vintage, with their level of Nostalgia.

11 months ago 0 0 1 0

As equally as you feel rancor about Universes Beyond, I am sure that new Magic players today will feel the same way you do about current Magic in a good 25 years with future Magic. That's just natural.

11 months ago 0 0 1 0

It's a bias formed from a sense of nostalgia. Older Magic sets did have crossovers, but they were never judged for it. For instance, Arabian Nights. There have even been sets like Innistrad that reference other properties. Because of Magic's expansion to modern-day works, it feels like a violation.
