And her momentum is not slowing any time soon, with a new HBO Max series adaptation of the Harry Potter books going into production this summer, expected to run for a decade beginning in late 2026 and mint a whole new generation of fans. Forbes estimates that Rowling could earn about $20 million per year for her involvement in the new series—one part of a wide-ranging deal with Warner Bros.—and she was "very, very involved in the process selecting the writer and the director," said HBO Max CEO Casey Bloys in November. One has to imagine she had the same input in casting the new pre-teen Harry, Hermoine and Ron, announced on Monday. When asked about Rowling's politics on an episode of The Town

J.K. Rowling is using her wealth attained from the Harry Potter series to create an organization dedicated to removing transgender people's rights "in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces."

The author announced in a Saturday post to X, formerly Twitter, that she would be founding the J.K. Rowling Women's Fund, using her personal fortune. The website for the group states that it "offers legal funding support to individuals and organisations fighting to retain women's sex-based rights in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces."

If you need help convincing people not to watch the new HP show, here it is. JKR will make $20m per year from the show, per Forbes. She also openly admits that she pours her fortunes into anti-trans activism, per Yahoo News. There’s a direct pipeline between HP and trans people’s suffering.

I know I am a random internet stranger but I relate, try to remember that recovery is never linear, just keep taking it day by day. You got this.

Thanks for this, I knew they hated him but I didn’t know why. I hate this poll and have them blocked as every year it brings a fresh wave of Michael hate.

Oooh not Simon 😩 So disappointed.

Ah I love that you think Michael is the major announcement, I agree he is definitely major announcement worthy! 😍 It is clowning but I have had the same hope! It would be the perfect time to kick off GO3. And David did say they talked about it often… 🤡

They had tweeted there was a major announcement on Friday but I do doubt it’s David as he goes to sooooooooooo many of these things it’s surely not that big a deal anymore. The big deal would be both of them, but the tweet said a person. 😭 Would love it to be both, but not holding out too much hope.

I have always avoided films with Kiera Knightly in, mostly because I don’t enjoy her acting. But also as she has a she has a vibe I’ve never liked….👀

Just a reminder before the “big announcement” today.

Autism was discovered in 1911 and the modern definition of Autism came in 1943.

Tylenol wasn’t widely used until the 1950s.

Anyone trying to tell you that Tylenol causes Autism isn’t someone that should be taken seriously.

Just a reminder that it is VERY offensive to our culture to refer to the 90s as anything other than “a few years ago” please educate yourselves

I know there’s a few of these around but final bow video from Nye last night ❤️ @mchshe.bsky.social you were absolutely incredible, well done for not only getting through the run but knocking everyone’s socks off. Wishing you and all the cast well for Cardiff.

Rob is so lovely and entirely correct. After being lucky enough to see Nye again last night and watching reduce 1500 people to tears I am once again reminded how outrageous it is that he is so criminally under-appreciated and awarded as an actor. He is a force of nature.

I didn’t see you otherwise I’d have come and said hi. There were so many people at Stage Door! Hope your flight back is uneventful and maybe see you next time!

There’s someone on X who needs a ticket for the 12th. I know you have 13 and 14 but they might be interested if nothing else comes up. x.com/ruti05220317...

I would hate the thought of the announcement being made around just David’s schedule though. I’d be pretty disappointed if there wasn’t an opportunity for it to be both of them given GO is a partnership. Also, that blurb looks recycled given S3 isn’t an adaptation of any book. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sadly yes. I was there towards the end of the run last year when fans were following him & his friends into the pub (despite us telling them not to) He was clearly annoyed but still came out to sign for everyone waiting with a smile on his face. I’m sure he got your gift, what a lovely thing to do! ❤️
