If anybody is interested in what a Band 2 student loan looks like⌠this is it!
I am having around ÂŁ2,000 a year added at 6.2% in interest. We really were misled, and ultimately sold out by successive governments, paying an extra 9% tax than everybody else.
We need to be telling people that people are âdeludedâ for believing we still live in an electoral democracy.
Zack, I think youâre going down the right lines in trying to address the issue of financial/bond markets, but I also donât think itâs going far enough.
Our governments canât seem to govern; only a mass union movement & natural resource wealth strategy can put the fear of god into the markets.
I am surprised Griffin didnât give in as he was desperate to become mainstream
Hence, people like Carlson and Fuentes are considered fringe by both factions
I know. The far-right has 2 main factions depending on which race they hate the most, Muslims or Jews.
Tucker Carlson seems to hate Muslims and Jews.
I do find the leftâs relationship with the far-right interesting.
Many wonât work with eachother but will be happy to form alliances with people like Tucker fucking Carlson đ¤Ł
Celebrate now but bewareâŚ
Tidesz are a centre-right party, meaning they wonât solve inequality, and what we know about populists is that they can get reelected despite poor records in office because living standards continue to fall.
A consensus to reform the neoliberal EU is a solution to this!
Hungary has chosen Europe.
Europe has always chosen Hungary.
A country reclaims its European path.
The Union grows stronger.
đ¨ NEW: Keir Starmer has congratulated Magyar PĂŠter after Viktor OrbĂĄn lost Hungaryâs Parliamentary election
"This is an historic moment, not only for Hungary, but for European democracy"
Big up the people of Hungary đđş
Wasnât this years ago now?
One thing we can do however is make ourself less reliant on international markets.
E.g. while most of the western world operated in these constraints with austerity, and in turn gave more power to the people that destroyed our economies, China, with their NATIONAL RESOURCE WEALTH, were shielded.
I have seen Zack say things like âWell we just need a direction in which to go and the bond markets wonât be spookedâ.
The bottom line is that the bond markets want to get paid, and they are amoral about this. They donât care of equality implications or material conditions for anybody else.
This is not democracy, this is oligarchy, this is kleptocracy, this is end stage capitalism.
People like Zack Polanski, Jeremy Corbyn etc believe we can address inequality through radical change as a âsocial democracyâ. In reality, capital is now too powerful within these constraintsz
We all laughed (although we felt the impact of this) of Liz Trussâ economic disaster because a Tory had fell flat on their face.
But do we seriously think if we try to address inequality within a neoliberal system, the markets wonât destroy the leadership?
The problem with the UKâs left is that they are deluded.
They are not deluded in the sense that we deserve to publicly own natural monopolies, or that we deserve better pay.
They are deluded because they think still we live in a democracy, ruled by governance. We are not; we are ruled by markets
I think youâre under an illusion we live in a democracy. We all laughed at Liz truss because it happened to a Tory. If anybody tries to do anything bold, the bond vigilanties will crash the economy at the snap of a finger.
Boom! All of a sudden Iâm more left wing from you, end stage capital wins..
I think heâs wrong. The vast majority of older people in this country have voted away our futures to protect their status as the people who landed on their feet by being born in the best time to be alive in human history.
Pedro Sanchez, Spanish PM,
"And I say to the right and the far-right, that they cannot be supporting those who set the world on fire and then complain about the smoke caused by that fire"
"You can't have your cake and eat it too"
A reminder that this is the same "unhinged" war and President the Daily Mail has spent weeks berating Keir Starmer for not joining and following
If reform ever do get in, Iâm going to ask all people Iâm seeing saying âLabour are just as bad as reformâ if they still believe it.
Just a simple reminder that this is the second time they made him president
2 things can be true at once.
Daily Mail headline says "Drill, Ed, Drill"
Translation: Net Zero threatens the value of our proprietor's investments. The world must cook for the sake of his portfolio.
Iâm looking at you @rory-stewart.bsky.social
@garyseconomics.bsky.social pointed out his uni thesis in one of his videos so I thought Iâd give it a read.
I found it quite compelling. For anybody trying to claim he is ânot an economistâ, Iâd encourage them to read it tooâŚ

I feel like on the âleftâ (hate using that term), we are charged with changing the world while the ârightâ only need to preserve it.
But is the choice merely to try and beg capitalists for charity or a revolution?
Could mass education be a program to hang our hats on?
