Royer Perez-Jimenez was 19 years old. He died by suicide at 3am on March 16 at Glades County Detention Center in Florida. He is the 2nd person to die in ICE custody this week, the 13th this year, and the 42nd under Trump. 🧵

I really didn’t think I’d be writing political songs in my 60th year on this earth. But there you go.

I hope you find listening as rewarding as I have felt creating it. I have needed a creative outlet as a valve to let off some steam. Link in bio. Streaming services to come in a week.

This one is more straightforward, and I assume will appeal to people who are fans of Buffalo Tom. But the lyrics are almost all fairly immediate responses to what many of us have felt during this time period (except for “Romeo,” ha).

New music. Commiserating is the third EP in about a month and a half. This will probably be the last stuff I release for a while, though who knows when inspiration will strike.
