Bless this mess

I just don’t like the human impulse to kill that which they find inconvenient. Our fences are old, rotting. We def need to replace them at some point, but the bees are just doing what they do. I can hardly blame them for making the fences home when they are such valuable pollinators

My family would kill every living thing they found to be inconvenient- moles, snakes, bees, anything, so I developed into a hippie of sorts. First thing I noticed going outside today was the neighbors set carpenter bee traps and I’m p depressed about it. They’re just little funny guys :(

I agree with you. It’s very valid to have concerns and critiques about certain kinds of merch! But on the other hand, it’s hard to judge my peers when so many are disabled/ neurodivergent and do try to offset harm to the best of their ability as individual persons

Artists who monetize their work are not above reproach but some opinions could do with less outright vitriol and distrust towards their fellow community members. It’s very nice if you can afford to do art as a hobby and not feel the need to monetize it but that’s not a lot of people’s lived reality

Saw a very biting comment recently from an artist outside the US about having no respect for their peers who make merch, and suggested artists find some other hypothetical job. If you’re wondering if said commenter lives somewhere where their taxes fund affordable healthcare, the answer is Yes

Tbh the video was actually about a customer who would buy the nips in bulk and eat them raw as a snack 😂 but that’s so funny! Definitely makes for a good life lesson about food!

Saw a video the other day of factory workers trimming nipples off pork belly and tbh that’s not a reality I’d ever considered (I don’t eat pork personally)

I’m always making things nonstop but I don’t get paid for it, I don’t get jobs, diminishing returns with social media the way it is. It all feels very bleak. But I love drawing and making things so!!

Kinda sucks wanting to make a living off my art but being too paralyzed to start anything because the economy is in the dumpster. It feels like I waited too long to try and start a patreon, and I left Etsy after they suspended my store over $10 when the shop had been down for a year
