a cover version is acceptable. this is too easy. 'artists' keep working with manafon tracks because of the ease with which one can isolate the vocal track. 'recomposed'? it's a matter of 'how do i make this track sound like sylvian's more accessible work'. you don't. you leave it be.

to be clear, most don't wish their music messed with unless it's a specific commission. it's like having the gall to re-edit someones movie, add alternate audio to choreography, realign the spatial specifics of poem on a page etc. I get it, you like it. it's not my work, it's a bastardisation.
