One of the things that gives me hope is that we just might come out of this disastrous period with renewed public support for democracy, climate policy, free trade, & international cooperation, as a result of the viscerally repellent, kakistocratic, far right authoritarianism of one Donald J. But while one party is abusing it to try and cling to power, I am all in favour of the other side gerrymandering where they can to counter those effects & remove the incumbents from power.
