USAID is expected to be reduced to about 290 workers from the more than 5,000 foreign service officers, civil servants and personal service contractors it currently employs, according to two sources familiar with the plans.
A federal judge has just ordered Musk to get out of Treasury’s computers. We are fortunate there are good lawyers representing democracy. Normally that would end the matter, but in this era there are legit questions about compliance & enforcement. We live on the edge of a constitutional crisis.
Musk’s band of boys has “sweeping authority to install and modify software on government-supplied equipment and, according to two OPM officials, to alter internal documentation of their own activities.” www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
Donald Trump signs a paper. He is wearing a blue suit and a blue tie. A headline reads: "How Trump's Actions Are Defying Legal Limits." Photo credit: Eric Lee/The New York Times.
President Trump has opened the throttle on blowing through apparent legal limits, often with no clear public explanation for how their actions could be consistent with the rule of law. Here are some examples of the administration’s defiance of statutes. nyti.ms/4aKnKRP
Bill Gates says he met with President Trump at the White House on Wednesday to advocate for continuing foreign aid disbursements from the U.S. Agency for International Development.
As Elon Musk continues to talk about subsidies, let’s remember that he is the LARGEST GOVT SUBSIDIES RECIPIENT in the country!

Egg prices are way up. Medicaid and cancer research are shut down.
Just what people voted for.
Hard to believe. Terrible choice.
Trump proposed the US taking over the Gaza Strip and assuming responsibility for reconstructing the territory.

The idea of the U.S. taking over Gaza would be widely condemned as imperialist, illegal, and destabilizing. It would face resistance from regional, global, and within the U.S. itself. The U.S. should focus on diplomatic efforts, humanitarian aid, and regional cooperation rather than direct control.
