First flight is a bit chaotic: no management of hand luggage so now there are 15-20 people at the front with trolley talking to the purser to get them in the hold.

Not so eerie, still plenty of non LH flights. Lounge (singular) is full as they close all of them but one.

Travel day today, let's go to Sarajevo with Schnitzel airline since the Wurst airline in Europe is on strike for the 5th consecutive day.

Ho I blame them a lot, but I also blame the staff. I blame everybody at this company, I think it is bad from top to bottom. I am more sympathetic to the cabin crew than everybody else though, they are usually the least worst of the bunch.

I don't think the management is fully responsible here. VC is striking because they are losing their majority at LH since new AOC's are going with ver.di, not for pensions. Unrelated to management. But yeah, I am now in the midst of it again since they are again striking tomorrow and Friday.

I took refuge in this Hi-Life once during a heavy rain, and ended up chatting two hours with a Taiwanese that used to live in France.

And I thank my lucky star I am flying Friday this week.

It seems LH is currently a strike picket running an airline as a hobby.

After a strike on Friday, so people rebooked on Monday are now fracked once more. My experience with their staff in the last two years shows they are completely out of touch with reality and have a non customer centered attitude, from ground to management. This company is rotten from top to bottom.

Crew announced they were going to collect cash for the Lufthansa sponsored charity. They borrowed a kid from some passengers and the child was passing with the money bag. I am not very positive about the airline charities (usually fairly non transparent) but using a kid, this goes too far.

Morning from LH646. Went straight to bed and slept 4.5 hours. Now is breakfast which is looking nice I have to say.

Is there any airlines that can maintain a 3 hub network over such a small area and be profitable ? SAS does not manage. Having BER as a hub for LH makes no sense.

Flying back today with LH, in J. I upgraded for the bed since it is a 3 AM departure for a 8 AM arrival and straight back at work. Hopefully the meal service at departure will not be too noisy. The same plane as the outbound 5 nights ago : D-AIGO

Ho Lufthansa did not renew the contract for the lounge at Almaty.
