Coed Cadw, the Woodland Trust in Wales, has launched a new manifesto setting out the case for trees and woodland as essential infrastructure for a healthier, fairer and more resilient Wales
Interesting suggestion of a way to spend taxpayer money from a party that keeps complaining about money ‘wasted’ on Welsh language and cultural programmes.

The Paris transformation continues, unhindered by the culture of excuses, and self-sabotaging election results, that we’ve seen in too many other cities.

The oldest known image of Keith Richards, published around 1140 AD ...
Kids these days better start thinking about what kind of planet they're going to leave Keith Richards.
Any anti-bike articles about how Amsterdam and Utrecht are unique, and your own little community couldn't possibly go multi-modal should be headlined "Can't Dutch This"
BBC BBC FFAGAN SAIN BBC NEWS Reform UK will tell Welsh museums how to present history, manifesto says
Absolutely.
The fuck.
Not.
And any of my countryfolk knowingly deciding to vote for surrendering yet more of our culture to English millionaires who would be happier if we all died are clearly a bigger threat to our nation than any immigrant.
So much of our language reflects
the common “car first” bias around our streets, & we should never forget that much of that language was the result of deliberate campaigns to specifically re-write our perspective of streets as “for cars only.” This is one of the more subtle, but important, examples.
A hundred years ago, the U.S. had a nationwide network of short-line railroads that connected most urban and rural communities. By the 1940s, most of it had been dismantled ... by the barons of the auto and oil industries. 😑
IF YOU BUILD A BIKE LANE THAT DOESN'T CONNECT TO ANOTHER BIKE LANE THEN YOU DIDN'T BUILD A BIKE LANE

Questions for politicians.
Be honest.
1. Do you work primarily for (a) your constituents or (b) your sponsors?
2. If (a) what do you say to (b)?
3. If (b) what do you say to (a)?
An image of a person with a pushchair down a residential street near inconsiderately parked cars. The person is wearing striped clothing and walking past a black car. The setting includes brick buildings and a view of houses on a hill in the background.
It's happening! 📢
On Tuesday, MPs will consider an amendment to enable local leaders to ban pavement parking in their area. We need you to help us get this amendment on to the Bill.
Ask your MP to agree to Amendment 265 when it's considered on Tuesday: https://bitly.livingstreets.org.uk/4tMU2Uq
this may be a silly question, but why does anyone park on pavements anyway? I'm sure driving tests used to be all about 'Don't hit the curb!'
A guy has organised a petition against the proposed cycle lane on Titwood Road. It says that the cycle lane is bad because it will take away on-street parking; it also says the cycle lane will increase congestion.
It is fascinating to me that cycle lanes create congestion, and parking lane don't.
Loved his music, an intelligent man.
