Had a final opportunity today to discuss 🇪🇺 EU support for 🇽🇰 Kosovo in countering organised crime, anti-terrorism and migration management with Interior Minister Sveçla, as well as efforts to ensure a multi-ethnic structure of the Kosovo Police.
I’ll depart but work continues.

Expressed my appreciation today for Besnik Bislimi's role in advancing 🇽🇰 Kosovo's 🇪🇺 European integration agenda and his engagement in the EU-facilitated Dialogue.

As I am soon to leave Kosovo, I wished him all the best in his efforts to bring Kosovo even closer to the EU.

With a discussion focusing the 🇪🇺 #GrowthPlan, reforms in the energy sector & the need to speed up processes to enable Kosovo to reap the full benefits, I bid adieu yesterday to 🇽🇰Economy Minister Rizvanolli, thanking her, among other, for constructive engagement on integration issues.

Saying goodbye to 🇽🇰 Prime Minister Albin Kurti yesterday, we reflected on past and future EU–Kosovo relations and the substantial support the 🇪🇺 EU has extended to Kosovo thus far.
I expressed my hope that all institutions will soon be functional and fully focused on EU integration.

In a farewell meeting today, I thanked 🇽🇰 President @VjosaOsmaniPRKS for her cooperation during my tenure as 🇪🇺 EU Ambassador in Kosovo.
The EU remains Kosovo’s strongest and most reliable partner as the country advances towards the Union.

Inaugurating the 🇪🇺-funded sports hall in Zvečan/Zveçan today, it was inspiring to see so many youngsters who will benefit from it.
The EU will continue to stand by all 🇽🇰 Kosovo communities, supporting reforms and investments that improve lives and advance Kosovo on its 🇪🇺 path.

Proud to inaugurate the 🇪🇺-funded “Nazim Kokollari” school in Prizren yesterday.
Education lies at the heart of every strong society, and this €5.2m investment in better learning conditions for children from all communities is an investment in 🇽🇰’s future on its EU integration path.

Met today Glauk Konjufca in his new role as 1st DPM & MFAD.
We discussed stepping up Kosovo’s EU integration efforts – the momentum to advance on this path is now.
I expressed EU's appreciation for Kosovo’s voluntary alignment with EU’s CFSP, in particular support to Ukraine.

Meeting 🇽🇰's new Minister of Culture & Tourism Saranda Bogujevci tdy provided opportunity to discuss 🇪🇺's support for the culture sector, incl through #CreativeEurope Programme, resumption of the Implementation Monitoring Council’s activities & protection of religious heritage in🇽🇰.

Glad to meet the new Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Fitore Pacolli today.
We discussed the implementation of the #GreenAgenda and the need to prioritise environmental protection in 🇽🇰 Kosovo.

We reflected on the progress Kosovo has made on its 🇪🇺 integration path over the past two decades, and the key reforms that still lie ahead.
Encouraging to see strong commitment to Kosovo’s European future from past and present leaders.

Urged the swift ratification of Growth Plan–related agreements to deliver benefits for 🇽🇰 Kosovo’s people. Also emphasized that the EU-facilitated Dialogue for normalization of Kosovo–Serbia relations remain essential for progress on their 🇪🇺 European integration paths.

Together w/ EU Ambassadors & Heads of Mission in Kosovo, met Caretaker PM Albin Kurti to discuss perspectives for 2026. Commended the electoral process reflecting strong commitment to democratic principles & underscored the importance of swift government formation.

Discussed the role of strong, accountable local governance in implementing 🇪🇺 reforms w/ MLGA Caretaker Minister Elbert Krasniqi. Last 🇽🇰 elections show how local democracy engages people & shapes policies reflecting community needs through a decision-making close to them.

Meeting 4 new northern mayors in Zvečan/Zveçan tdy, I welcomed the smooth handover of local gov. in line w/🇽🇰law.
I reiterated the need for constructive engagement between central&local authorities and 🇪🇺's support for realizing non-majority community rights as per🇽🇰Constitution.

In a meeting with re-elected mayor of Ferizaj/Uroševac, Agim Aliu, today, we focused on the fact that 70% of 🇪🇺 EU integration reforms are implemented by municipalities & that local governments are key to the enlargement process.
My outreach to municipalities continues.

Following successful and inclusive 🇽🇰 Kosovo local elections, I met today re-elected mayor of Viti/Vitina, Sokol Haliti.
We discussed municipal priorities for the next four years, local-central governments cooperation, and 🇪🇺 EU’s support for 🇽🇰 Kosovo’s EU integration.
