A graphic for our December Stewards' Workshop: Thinking Like An Organizer. Gray-blue and purple color scheme. The event is on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m. ET.
December Stewards' Workshop: Stewards are who members see regularly and rely on for everything from basic questions on the job to handling complicated grievances.
They're also in a good position to strengthen the union by getting more people involved: labornotes.org/events/2024/...
The tech industry is booming, but based on an as-needed project model. So the labour can be consistent but at the worker's expense & lack of stability. It's not a shock that this model is more difficult to organize around either.
Unionize tech industries! Including videogames.

I work with a lot of locals under the same parent union and I just say "Sibling members" or "sibling union" - people love it!
