The one good thing about reading a book of short stories that crosses from worrying to smug doomer porn is that the current news actually feels so sane compared to it.

As do I.
My friends are scattered around the country.
I think the problem is that there really aren't massive reasons to upgrade anymore. We haven't had a laptop or OS or even cell phone innovation in years. So with everything still being the same, form nostalgia makes sense.
I think any reasonably large account has.
Write what you know!
They did that for the 1984 Dune movie. I can promise you that almost no one read them and we were all confused.
I'm someone who actually wants to know what these things can do either way, and so I get frustrated when it can be difficult to actually figure out what's going on... and in this case it feels like the person is actively trying to hide it which raises my suspicions.
I'm a tad dubious about this claim. Why? Because I wanted to see how reproducible it was and the pdf is very vague as to how it happened. There is a link to a chatgpt window but it references a file that they gave it that is not included.
I think ChatGPT helped but there's a lot that's glossed over
There was that one ad for one of the LLMs that had a kid losing a stuffed animal and the parents making a lot of fake photos/videos to tide the kid over.
As someone who spent 8 hours in Bangor Intl in 1998 because SOMEONE missed a flight, I have an aversion.
I kind of glossed over the conspiracy stuff in Illuminatus! and focused elsewhere. The Subgenius people I clearly was never going to be cool enough for so I didn't really bond there.

I'm diabetic. No rice, no drinking of anything but water, minimal bread.
(God there was an awful typo in the first draft due to changing the sentence halfway.)
...well that makes it sound like any programming tool, not just someone saying, "Claude write me my own version of Slack" and having it come right out of the box.
I've started reading AI proponent subreddits and it's interesting both to see what they're doing (still mostly vague if I'm being honest) but also the way they're arguing back and forth constantly about how to get it to work and the ways to tweak it and switching which model to use...
Good to see that Billy is mostly in good spirits.

I'm only allowed to have bagels if I'm on a road trip or if I'm near I-95, north of DC and south of CT.
Oh yeah, that is a LOT different then.
I mean I can't remember the last time I've consumed toast but it's nice to have a low stakes debate.
I don't think "AI will destroy all of the jobs" is a consistent argument with idea of "most people are just using AI wrong."
If using it correctly to get the results you want out of it is actually a skill that you have to develop, then it's just another tool to learn.
Maybe the negotiations were very quick!
You underestimate resiliency and Tapioca’s need to knock things off of counters
Counter butter here would be catter butter.
It’s why I’ve been enjoying these Phish April tours. Breaks up the doldrums.
Not to mention the people who listen to true crime just for kicks.
Google's AI results still say that I died in 2020.
Claude thinks I work in the ministry; I'm an agnostic Jew.
Yeah I also don't care if anyone blocks me. I'm not for everyone.
Kitchen Dwellers added a new jam to Stand at Ease and it completely caught me by surprise last night. Judging by the length of the last version in OR, it was there too, but not when I saw it in Flagstaff last month.
I block for all sorts of reasons. It's the bluesky way!
