I was yelling “Descent!!!” into the empty ether that is my house, but that may have just been important to my particular childhood nostalgia 😆

My biggest issue with Project Hail Mary was the part they cut where he named the black dots “astrophage.”

It has zero importance to the story whatsoever, but it’s kind of a big deal.

Nature is healing.

But we were mostly learning craft.
And patience.
And that taking extra time to ensure accuracy in a project is a feature, not a bug.

Another drop of black. Another painted square.

Then we had to do it all again, starting from black.

Eventually we cut everything out and found 7 squares that would make an even gradient from white to black.

We were learning about color and how to be discerning when every square looks alike.

The VERY first thing we did at my fairly prestigious design school—literally the first class on the first day of college—was to measure out squares on several sheets of Bristol board and then paint the first one white.

Then we added a drop of black to our white paint. Then painted the next one.

She is not a “talker.” She doesn’t howl. Maybe a few small howl-like sounds when she yawns or something.

Then this happened.

We’re on season 4.

I’m so used to opening themes being played at 1.5x speed that if I ever catch something live it wigs me out.

Right?? Dude has written two highly regarded books that have been made into two highly regarded movies.

Maybe be just even a LITTLE more tactful.

What if everything sucks now *because* of the internet?

*sigh* but is this whole endeavor really worth what we’re losing by you doing it?

I’m talking about the toothbrush picture, of course.

The combat is only fine, but the narrative and characters are so great.

I honestly prefer this version of the Guardians over the movies.
