Ten years later I still love this guardian tribute to Prince

When even The Guardian mixes up 'have' and 'of' then all hope is lost

No small amount of satisfaction derived from the organising.

A black and white photo of a woman sitting on the back of a crocodile/alligator (I don’t know which, is there even a difference?) with a massive megaphone

Industrial building with a yellow corrugated roof; yellow roller shutter with a big red dot painted on, recycling bin and a wooden pallet against the wall.

Dragged myself out to Attercliffe after work. An Attercliffe with better evening lighting, admittedly. It’s good to keep an eye on the changes. we keep goin

Vanity Fair, Holme Lane, Hillsborough. I dream of her.

Alt: A heavily faded shop front of green and dark wood with net curtains drawn. The sign reads ‘Vanity Fair’ in a very elegant font and will probably have been hand painted. It was a women’s hairdressers.

You are doing nothing to dampen my curiosity. I’m imagining all sorts of sexist and culturally insensitive shenanigans.

A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!

Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....
