Hooray for Year 7!! 🎶🩵

Throwing it back to some of the wildest moments from the past few school years directing musicals as I finalize this year’s show. It’s top secret, but don’t worry. When it’s announced you’ll just hear a faint rumbling from Western PA. It’s the kids losing their minds.

The meme doors are complete. My favorite part of this tradition is how my students gradually “get” more and more as we work on music literacy throughout the year. 🎶🩵🎶🩵

And now, my favorite part of the summer comes. Checking my email and seeing all the choir memes the kids have sent me over the past few months. No subject line, no body to the email, just like… six attachments.

I went from teaching K-5 music to middle and high choir. This is pretty accurate 😂
I was scared to teach middle school, but I challenged myself to be the teacher I desperately needed when I was there. Be your wonderfully authentic self and create a space for them to do the same. They’ll love you!!
