Happy birthday 🎉
I’m no fan of insomnia, but it’s sure a fan of me. 🫠
Baby Corn 🌽 🖤
How delightfully random. 🤓
Ok now do citizens
The gif 🤭
A small piece of irregularly shaped slate with five moon phases carved into it. It rests on a mossy green pine tree root.
it’s just a phase #wip
Book display called “who’s mentioned in the Epstein files? Find them here.” And it’s books by or about Trump, Melania, Oz, Woody, and so on
Currently in display at Minneapolis central library. You love to see it.
I’m partial to Zach Pop with the Phils. Also Dante Nori (I mean, come on), but he’s not in the bigs yet. 🤓

Go Sixers, btw.
You would have been roasting today in the unseasonably hot weather. Probably would have been worth it for the firsthand account. 🤓
And in fact, all words are invented. 🥂
A piece of wild slate, with a sketch of a daffodil on it.
The same piece of slate, but now the sketch of a daffodil has transformed into a bas-relief of a daffodil.
When in the Slate Belt… 🤓
Whooo could pass that up?
I wouldn’t mind the ability to rotate my head like they can. And also the silent flight. 🤔

Close up of tiny white bones, which are sticking out of a clump of dried out dark grey fur, held in my bare hand. I should absolutely be wearing a glove. I didn’t see any bones at first, so I opened the pellet up a bit to confirm what it was. What can I say, I was excited, and I am without adult supervision most of the time.
And I found an owl pellet in the yard yesterday afternoon, which I was pretty excited about. So excited that I picked it up barehanded. 😬
The silence was soon filled with the magical sound of a brown thrasher’s song - basically a never-ending cascade of constantly shifting phrases of birdsong. Completely entrancing. 🤩
At dusk last night, I heard the raucous sound of a great blue heron coming from a stand of tall trees. I didn’t get a look, but heard them as they crawk’d their way back toward the river. 🩵
A WHOLE CIVILIZATION WILL DIE TONIGHT My son needs lunch, and I have to put his backpack together, but a whole civilization will die tonight, so I'm wondering if they've closed their schools. Like, a snow day, maybe, except instead of snow it's "keep your children home so if you die, you die together" — instead of "well open back up once the plows have cleared" it's "we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, hold your babies tight." It's just "talk" I'm told, which I've been told before. "It's how the president makes his deals." But I've never heard anyone talk about other human beings this way, and I'm not certain I can look my son in the eyes if we all agree to stomach it one more time. A civilization will die tonight, but as I zip up his backpack and kiss him off to school I think: if this is what we call leadership then I'm not entirely sure ours isn't already dead. @michaelfdubois Mukad A QuBoy @michacifdubois
Brutal.
Me, too! I haven’t seen one since I was eight, the year we moved from WV to PA. You can imagine what this does for one’s soul. 🤩
I. Have. Crawdads!! (in my creek) 😭💖🦞
Magnolia Tree, in false-color infrared. This made a lovely 60 x 90" print.
We're all in this together 🩵

if a high school student with no access to weapons posted that they were going to wipe out everyone at their school they would be arrested and expelled from school but when the president with nuclear weapons threatens an entire civilization it's crickets.
Yes- the flaming hellscape, out of control prices on everything and general shittiness of the world is bad- but consider the alternative: a country that respects and elevates minorities and taxes billionaires. The horror.
