All while also creating, organizing and growing @nordicjs.com and Nordic.design, traveling the world, working remotely, and building a life that feels rich in more ways than just work.
Grateful. Still learning. Trying to build something that matters, while living the best life I can along the way.

13 years since the best day of my life. The day I quit my day job to focus on my side projects.
Fast forward to 2026. Confetti is starting its 12th year. We’re 11 employees, steady year-by-year growth, tens of thousands of organizers bringing together millions of people. No VC and on our own terms.

Lovely review and recap of Nordic.js by Nico ❤️🥹
That's next level! I added it to the basket, went to checkout then.... left it in a tab waiting.
Love it. I was so envious of @una.im at Nordic.js!

The finishing touches are in place and the vibes are set! Tomorrow we open the doors to Nordic.js 2025! 🎉

Nice project! 🙌😄
So here’s my question to all of you: **Who or what do you absolutely want to see at this year’s conference?** Any favorite activities or moments from past editions that we *must* keep or bring back?
Hit me up! ❤️

2025 will be no exception. We want this to be the best Nordic.js yet. And since we’re turning 10 (!) years old, the theme will be birthday party!

From the first year, when Johannes, Martina and I personally picked up speakers in a rental car, to 2022, when nearly 100 people were involved, and we had an org chart worthy of a mid-sized company. It never really gets easier—just bigger and more intense, haha.

People often say, “You must know exactly how to do this by now—you’ve done it for so many years.” But the truth is, every time we master something, we add something new. Year after year.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been going through old project plans, meeting notes, and—most importantly—photos. And wow. What an incredible journey it’s been, the experiences we’ve had, and the amazing people we’ve met. So many unforgettable moments.

And it’s not just about me. In a time of remote work, AI operators, and uncertainty, the need for people to meet in person feels stronger than ever. To gather, to talk, to inspire each other.

This feels special. After two years on pause, we knew it was time. While I’ve enjoyed the extra free time, it’s felt like a part of me has been missing. October has come and gone, life has moved on, but every New Year’s, I’ve had this lingering feeling that the year wasn’t quite complete.

Big day! It’s finally happening—Nordic.js is coming back in 2025! On October 2–3, and we’re returning to Magasin 9 in Frihamnen. Tickets go on sale next Wednesday, February 5, at 11:00 CET.

thanks for the suggestion 1password 😂
It was originally published on Medium, but I felt it was time to bring it back home, so to speak. 😇
I just re-published my article on how to create inclusive tech events. I wrote it in 2014, but I think it's still worth reading.
