Thanks for the additional things to think about.
Alright Ray, I’ll think about it
Think we had too many great players get injured
Gah, gutted for the guys. That was a big, big moment and they showed up. Nothing left to do but play your best ball for another 5 in the league and the two semi final legs. ❤️🤍
Woke up ill today — like, legit sick, not nervy sick — so probably a quiet day coming for me 🤒
Omfg so mad at myself, I literally just came within a click of betting on a draw. Gotta trust the gut
No numbers updates from me today, supporting my wife’s art booth 😀 works on commission!
Just saying usually being sacked from a bundesliga job lands you in the eredivisie or lower on the BuLi table, not the PL
would love to see him in Bilbao, would be a fun story
I think in today's footballing world you could argue that getting fired by Leipzig and landing at Bournemouth is failing upward
well there is that 😆
This is actually a really good point. I am very poor at leaving sleeping dogs lie when it comes to misleading information, but doubtless engaging with it more is only bringing me down (and I'm almost never actually helping someone, as they're not interested in that)
i only trust one computer, Scott Willis's extremely normal laptop
Appreciate it, there with you! You're always welcome to the Cannon Stats podcast, which we try to do weekly when our lives aren't madness 😂
Woltemade was an exceptional signing as of about October, now he doesn't even start over friggin Osula
huh, pretty surprised by this. I thought by the end he was really a big part of what was wrong with Leipzig. maybe he's figured it out
Yeah, you would think with our increased capacity for advanced analysis things would become *less* binary over time, but the rancidness of the online experience has only made it worse. We thirst for big conclusions after every result and often see them disproven within the next 2-3 games.
I literally was minutes from posting this same excerpt, fully agree. I'm worried about the result but more worried about the discourse that could follow.
BBC put this out about 2 months ago, so it was prior to Saka, Timber, current Martin Ødegaard injuries
I think they say “come mog with me”
massively
Maybe, wouldn’t rule out Nelli even though he’s dynamite off the bench
Yeah my theory is those guys started more because of availability and Sunday plans than a belief theyd work beautifully but I could be wrong
lol you're rooting for the wrong club!
Trossard/Kai/Martinelli isn't three runners
I haven't seen this particular stat. We could take more and quicker shots off turnovers but that's not the priority here
last I checked we're top 3-4 in open play xG, second in goals in the PL, leading in CL goals...I think we need to lean into the fact that goals are down league-wide (I have plenty of charts to show this if you need) rather than saying it's only us going to shit in attack
have a hunch Martinelli might be the call if Saka and Noni both can't go
