I am not sure what it is about the End January...but everyone I know if flat out at work/over worked, my bosses are saying its too busy. I guess its because of Christmas/New Year holidays meaning that we only 2 weeks or at work..so January and December are extra busy.
My Boss said to me the other day, "the notes you have been writing in freshdesk look a bit weird"...turned out he meant the double spaces I was putting in after the full stops. When I learnt to touch type as a kid that's what I was told to do - its quite a hard habit to get out of!
Monday at work - what I can I say, it beats composites! Spent a fair bit of my day chasing clients to get estimates signed off. I updated some code for a projects blog archive, and customized some code to allow hero videos to be used on the site for pages...a few other things..
Everyone should be FORCED to watch it at by the time they get to 20 years of age.

...on a non Cloudways site such as on a Cpanel site is that you need to disabel WP_Cron in the wp-config.php file and setup a cronjob manually...its actually pretty easy to do if you are a Dev just search it out, but as WordPress is supposed to be easy setup out the box I am not sure this is easy.
...interesting fact...WordPress uses something called WP_Cron by default which basically means that tasks like updating stock or scheduling sales only happen when someone visits the site...makes life interesting if its a small site with low traffic or gets hit by a bot attack...
So interesting day at work...we have a @woocommerce.com site we run for a client which has a few issues, basically one of the people who admins it has made a python script for scraping stock level using AI...I say made but anyway, turned on @cloudways.bsky.social cron optimizer tool...

I was brought up on black coffee...also in my previous working life...you might not have wanted coffee with sugar and milk..as..well you never know what it came from!
Each to their own - but I do like the idea of Dr Pepper, I will have to keep a look out for it to mix things up.
oh Dr Pepper, I don't have that very often I always forget about it.
I stick with Tea or Coffee...I am a bit of a coffee fiend...a prefer ground black coffee by choice...no junk ;-)

Day at the W was fairly uneventful really, managed to solve a few things.
Have started getting in the habit of doing a bit more exercise again on an old Wii Fit. Did an hour, I figure it all helps. I think working from home its important to do some exercise and go outside at least once.

First day back at the W today. Bit of a shock to the system after so much time off! Had almost forgotten everything...but the terminal commands came back and I remember what a PR was again :-) Good to have some time off but good to be back at work again :-)

hmm...sorry been a while, a combination Christmas/new years has really put a dent into things. Also refurbishing a bonfire...the less said about that the better.
Liking the look of the new #drupalcms @drupalassociation.bsky.social I am going to have to take a serious look at it.
So...not got too far again tonight...ran out of concentration again. But managed to finally get an install drupal onto a repo, added Drush and the Boostrap5 #drupal theme. Need to get my head around Drupal again, and then look at pushing to my hosting...take it easy folks, I am off for tonight :-)
There are some really nice folks on the @drupal.bsky.social slack channel. I think the people who support the CMS's really make them or break them...its nice to be nice :-)
Brrr...the UK is #cold at the moment...my solution to working from home to save electricity is to work in a winter grade sleeping bag. Keeps me warm.

I have to say, understanding a bit about SSH and basic Linux/Unix commands helps me every day. That and learning about GIT is something I use every day at work now to do my job. Its very very useful to learn.
I think thats why Coffee was invented, although I think that makes you just wanna sleep more. The lack of sunlight in the northern hemisphere probably does not help.
well, didn't get too far tonight. Finally figured out how to create a repo in github (bitbucket is a bit different), and then remembered how to move stuff again in linux, getting the file permissions right was tricky...using #windows at work makes me lazy :-( #100daysofcode #codenewbie
