Tho on a related note, getting around Japan in general was the hardest thus far due to once rock solid travel apps… specifically Google Maps & Google Translate… being rendered legit useless pieces of shit, cuz of you know what

Tokyo’s mass transit system is mind blowingly complex, yet given a little bit of time it starts to make total sense, EVEN IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND A WORD OF JAPANESE

Meanwhile I am a native English speaker & still cannot make sense of the word salad that is your average MTA service advisory…

There is legit no feeling like being in Japan for over a week & experiencing its God tier mass transit, then coming back home to only be reminded of what of absolute horseshit the MTA is

Like I love how the official MTA app has been refreshed like 8+ times and it legit keeps getting worse, wtf…

So the vibes have been different this trip

Am half Korean, which is all in the eyes, and have gotten treated differently with my mask on (I look basically 100% Asian) & without (I have my dad, a white person’s nose and mouth)

Feels like locals are officially over white tourists & their bullshit

Day one of my Japan 2026 trip: ran into an anti-Trump protest about to get underway in the middle of a busy Shinjuku shopping square

Anyhow my wife just informed me that the obnoxious fucks in the waiting area are YouTubers; this flight is gonna be 14 hours of pure hell

As if the onset of this latest trip to Japan couldn’t get any worse; was advised to be at the airport EIGHT HOURS EARLY cuz that’s just how fucked things are now, with the best part being how our airline’s ticket counter didn’t open till 3 hours before departure & I had to stand the entire time cuz…

… Tho it might be a while before I respond; am currently at the airport, waiting to board a flight bound for Japan (will be away for the next week & a half, so no stream this Monday)
