Maybe because they're so big and/or powerful, in comparison to mages? Obviously dreamers can shape the fade consciously, but we don't know what it looks like when a dreamer dies? Or a powerful demon or spirit, like Nightmare. Though that also brings up whether what they affect remains in that form.
Would that imply that sentient entities sort of take up space in the fade with their minds? Are all parts of the fade created by the thoughts of thinking beings? We have seen it reflect reality in certain ways, or even the minds of people in it. Though those were usually caused by demons or spirits?
That would definitely be a theory contender to me. It was at least implied that our titan was awoken by the opening of the Breach, right? If it was asleep all this time, then maybe the Sha Brytol didn't even know it was a possibility. Also... where do titan dreams go, if not the fade??

Would this imply that all dwarves might have the ability to become new titans? Might also mean that the Descent DLC titan is helping Valta through the process. But if that were true, why wouldn't this already have been tried through the Sha Brytol? Blargh, mysteries.

Jurassic Park had Dr. Ellie Sattler in 1993, in one of the biggest and most watched movies of ALL TIME, and people think that an interest in dinosaurs is ONLY FOR BOYS? The absolute NONSENSE of this idea. Her book version is just as knowledgeable and active, as are Sarah Harding's in The Lost World.
