I will say it again. Warfare in the technological age has changed everything.

We don’t need to spend $380bn on subs.

"If we had of kept 6 refineries going we'd actually be in exactly the same position right now because those refineries would need to be fueled by oil primarily out of the Middle-East," Matt Canavan admits. Then launches into a conspiracy about the ABC. He was once resource minister. #auspol

At this time of overseas conflict, that fuel supply is a key national security item, where is the Australian Defence Force defending onshore oil refinery(s)?!
Safe guarding high dependence infrastructure assets?
Will our freshwater supply, Desal, or sewage treatment plants be damaged next? #auspol

Tim: at a time of overseas conflict, where fuel is a key national security item, where was/is the Australian defence force?! Safe guarding our high dependence infrastructure assets in a conflict period?

Will be our fresh water supply next. Sewage treatment plants? Desal plant? Gas plant? #auspol

Thanks Stu.
My first human safety thought was Longford, Gippsland gas plant explosion, and the loss of life there.
My second is with the first responders and their health, fighting this fire.
As well as the local Corio-Greater Geelong citizens.
Has the smoke gone over to the east Port Phillip Bay?

It's absolutely heartbreaking and so unnecessary.

Sarah Aubrey of Electrify This, has collated stories, diagrams and information on this in Australia, as well. Eye opening.

Petrifying on the Hume Freeway between Melbourne-Sydney. Those and Heavy Vehicle trucks, make the road so dangerous.

Where is our defence force?! Why aren't our assets being protected?
It will be our fresh water supply next. Watch this space.

Ludicrous that Australia doesn't have thousands of these. We are now years and years behind other countries who have the infrastructure to run everything on renewable energy, & we're still polluting & not taxing the billionaire fossil fuel companies. Clowns to the left of us, jokers to the right.

Amamudin Sadar sought asylum in Australia in 2012. Thirteen years later, he was stabbed to death in a random attack on a suburban street. An hour after he was killed, the email arrived: he could finally apply for a permanent visa. satpa.pe/vKdEoAg

This deep sea creature is as sharp & clear as broken class, & can grow as long as your hand. This giant amphipod, (Cystisoma) only has two colored body parts: the dense orange stomach/egg pouch, & two MASSIVE eyes, which are a glittering holographic orange layer completely covering its head.

This is key to political understanding: austerity causes a rise in support for the far right.
BTW, austerity is *not over*, unless you accept the meaningless official definition. A meaningful definition is "a decline in public services caused by a shortfall in funding". catherinedevries.eu/NHS.pdf

So the obvious question:

When will Anthony Albanese stop the stupid secrecy,
start treating the Australian people with respect, and
advise the nation how his government is handling a situation in which our 'closest ally' cannot be trusted diplomatically, militarily, financially or morally? #auspol

In addition to experiencing a longer total eclipse totality from space β€” lasting nearly one hour instead of just a few minutes here on Earth β€” the Artemis II crew got a glimpse at the Sun’s corona wispily peeking out from behind the Moon without interference from the Earth’s atmosphere.

Now more than ever it's time to properly tax these billionaire companies, both local and multinational properly and introduce a the Universal Basic Income for all.

By avoiding means testing, the government is giving handouts to the rich The shift towards universal policies may seem fair, but it’s creating a system that gives to the wealthy at the expense of the poor.

I agree with means testing. Unfortunately I also lack any faith in our government to design & administer the necessary systems
