Kseniia Petrova, a Russian scientist at Harvard Medical School, was detained at Logan Airport after returning from France and sent to an ICE detention in Louisiana, The Insider reports.

NEWS:
In the Signalgate suit, Judge Boasberg issues a "compromise order" enjoining the Trump admin defendants to preserve all Signal communications between March 11 and March 15.
"Don’t worry: It’ll be in writing," Boasberg quips, a reference to the DOJ's position on his oral orders.
So when the White House and everyone involved in the Houthi PC small group said nothing in their Signal chat revealed sources and methods, that was not so much.... true

Good question. Why DOES Pete Hegseth have a Russian phone number? 🤨
This is extremely well articulated. They seem to forget that the 1950s were funded, not by tariffs, but by some of the highest taxes in history, under President Eisenhower, a Republican.
Now the 50s are problematic for many other reasons

The Signal chat's fallout expands as @WSJ.com reports Israel provided sensitive intel from a human source about a Houthi operative targeted in the strike.
"Israeli officials complained privately to U.S. officials that Waltz’s texts became public," per the report. 🎁🔗
Tariffs will bring about short term pain, like about 40 years.
T’wasn’t a flask of Old Crow, so t’wasn’t Hegseth’s kin.
On the left: Hegseth's message.
On the right: the applicable CENTCOM classification guide provisions.
This is all very plainly classified at the SECRET level.
They all lied. They should all lose their jobs.
Ed Whelan: Now that a conservative/ moderate conservative judge on the D.C. Circuit has determined that the Trump administration is not likely to succeed on the merits, will the ridiculous, over-the-top, vicious attacks on Judge Boasberg cease?

Signalgate is just the start. In its first two months, the new Trump administration has made move after move that exposes the government to penetration by foreign intelligence services.

TONIGHT: American Oversight files a motion for a temporary restraining order against Hegseth, Rubio, Ratcliffe and others that directs them to immediately stop the destruction of any govt records in their Signal chat from 3/11 to 3/15.

From Fox’s Chief National Security reporter. Who can’t seem to get any airtime lately. For some reason.
BREAKING: The Trump administration's blanket freeze on most federal spending will remain blocked, a federal appeals court has ruled.

Should you be in the role of DNI if you can't remember.....memory and sharpness seem important in a DNI.
So sloppy
BIG rebuke of Trump administration by the DC Circuit on Alien Enemies Act.
Upholds Judge Boasberg's order.
Conservative jurist, Judge Henderson's concurring opinion cuts through the noise.
"[A]n invasion is a military affair, not one of migration."
Great analysis of what USG wanted to do here.⬇️

“The Constitution's demand of due process” can be “easily thrown aside” if this administration isn’t stopped.

We're disappearing college students because their opinions are deemed threats to foreign policy as the Trump Administration is literally sharing classified information and military strikes on an unsecured Signal chat with journalists.
18 USC 793(f) makes it a crime to remove national defense information from its proper place through gross negligence. Doesn’t matter whether info was classified. Signal chat is not a proper place.
BESPOKE: “.. The first quarter is set to end next Monday. As of today, the index is down 2.6% quarter to date which would be the first quarterly decline since Q3 2023.”
Yet Defendants’ declarations and purported compliance lists establish that, as of several days after the Court’s order, almost none of the tens of thousands of terminated employees had been returned to service at their respective defendant agencies. Rather, those workers had been placed on administrative leave by Defendants, with no indication when, if ever, they will be reinstated to their jobs.
Public service unions that previously won an injunction to reinstate fired probationary employees asked a federal judge to compel compliance or hold the government in contempt.
They say "almost none" of the 10Ks fired have returned to service.

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.
