We have now watched all of this…it’s a lot of tv time…but it was absolutely worth it…even if you only ‘think’ you like some of his music give it a go perhaps…it’s not just about him but about the human condition in some respects…🤷‍♂️

Quinta Studios undeniably produce some lovely looking 3D decals…but for anyone under the impression that they are anything but a Russian company…look again…I know the ins and outs of the arguments but for me, well I just can’t bring myself to order from them…🤷‍♂️

It’s funny really…I have embraced SMS lacquers in the last couple of years but not looked much further…I suspect because I need acrylics for chipping in particular…I am not about to try chipping lacquer paints…but should look at LP paints more widely for base layer painting at least…

@shadowcaster6656.bsky.social I meant to tag you in this question Rich. How do you find Tamiya XF paints compare with their LP varieties and do you just use Tamiya lacquer thinners with them? I’m thinking of trying some LP paints out…🤔

Question…for rubber black I have always used Tamiya XF-85 but now find myself wondering about their lacquer LP-65 instead…any thoughts on how they compare and do Tamiya LP paints need a primer at all…SMS lacquers certainly don’t (on to plastic at least)?

That looks like a belter Rich…have you picked a paint for the main colour yet? I’m curious if SMS can meet this particular challenge or if you will go elsewhere…🤔

A little PE has gone onto the upper hull (and a hole needed filling on its front). Also work on the gun platform at the rear is underway…an opportunity to use some steel and chrome paints …both on top of an SMS black…all WIP clearly but I’m enjoying the variety this kit is offering at the moment…👍

Also…the hatch that I am hoping to leave open is quite large so hopefully a good portion of the compartment will be visible through it…🤔🤞

The drivers compartment is now together, rather mucky & sits quite nicely in the hull of the M107…which is a big but thus far enjoyable kit…👍

Books for sure…the more the merrier…aircraft, a few perhaps but not the making of them…oh and Detectorists was a major tv show omission too…

Painted up this compartment…it needs a little tidy up and some gentle weathering and/or dry brushing but it’ll be largely unseen so it doesn’t need much more work I guess…mostly just a bit of fun…
