The projection cubemap. It's a bunch of rectangles laid out in a tiling pattern.

Import settings for the cubemap. Texture type is default, texture shape is cube, mapping is 6 frames layout, convolution type is none, fixup edge seams is false

Here's the disco ball projection cubemap I use in my worlds w/ VRSL - gives the lil reflection projections square cookies, and adds variance in brightness / pattern.

Just import with these settings and drop it in the existing VRSL shader :D

Ill keep my eyes and ears open for any open decks this weekend, I wanna take this setup for a VR test run :3

Update: It “Worked” past tense… it was having issues syncing the motorized platters and the USB kept disconnecting. While troubleshooting and power cycling it there was a pop with that burnt electronic smell and now it doesnt connect anymore. Its dead… RIP.

Welp good news is the old girl still works! Although I forgot theres no quick loop button that I can engage on the fly, imma have to learn how to use this thing again.

I love the fact that Alan Parsons is a recording/sound engineer, it explains how well this has all been mixed and sounds. Theres a level of nerdy in the choosing of the themes and concepts I enjoy as well. Some of the lyrics are deep while some are what they say on the tin. Idk im a fan now :3
