Interesting, isn't it? How the UK gov themselves spends millions on VPNs but has been discussing banning it for others.

There's a difference between "we don't log" and "we can't log."

One is a policy. The other is architecture.

This is already happening with basic tracking. Now add mandatory identity verification to the mix.

They won't just know what you clicked. They'll know your age, address, income bracket, and exactly how desperate you are for what they're selling.

They can see you're browsing from a wealthy neighborhood? Price goes up.

They know your employment history from LinkedIn? Adjusted accordingly.

They tracked your purchase patterns? Congrats, you just qualified for the "this person will pay more" tier.

Once sites know your real identity, things get really fun.

You know how airlines charge different prices based on your browsing history? Now imagine that but for EVERYTHING.

Same product, different price, all because they know exactly who you are.

The whole point of the internet was supposed to be open access to information. Now you need to prove you're a real person with real documents to post a meme.

This isn't about stopping bots. It's about control and data collection.

KYC requirements are killing the open web.

Every time a platform forces you to submit government ID just to exist online, they're building a surveillance database that would make the Stasi jealous.

And the worst part? They're doing it "for your safety."

I can't log people activities, I can't see websites people visit, even if someone REALLYYYYY tried, they wouldn't be able to pull that information out of me, simply because I can't have it.

Here’s something to consider with Discord alternatives: are they centralized or decentralized? If they’re centralized, the same issue is going to happen.
