Anyone here having benchtop NMR in their lab?
Any recommendations for the cheapest ones? from those happy with the cheapest ones?

I was looking back at this photo because I was remembering a great talk by Howard Whitlock.
Among the other remarkable contributors not mentioned yet whose work is worth revisiting are Soledad Penades, Andy Hamilton, Andre Collet and Günter Wulff.

Wow, never seen anything like that, and no idea how it would go to your spirals!
In your arrays of flat crystals there seems to be a preferred chirality. Is the material chiral?

SEM image of twisted crystals

SEM image of twisted crystals

Beautiful! It reminds me of something we saw in SEM of twisted crystals (doi.org/10.1002/chir...) where flat crystals seemed to be joined at points - we thought it was because the twisted crystals had broken in contact with the stub surface, relieving the twist strain. Do you see twisted crystals?

How do you map the "fragile" fibers of a supramolecular #hydrogel without breaking them? This study compares confocal microscopy (CLSM) & #cryogenic scanning electron microscopy (cryo-SEM) to find the perfect imaging balance.
