I just posted something saying the same. It's so elitist and unnecessary. If this is truly the vibe at Bluesky, then I don't expect it to do any better than Twitter in the long run.

I am disappointed by the condescending welcome posts directed toward new users from TikTok.

Perhaps I am missing the joke, but it seems many have made the assumption that TikTok was full of children and product influencers, rather than diverse communities with vibrant discussions from all ages.

You realize people of all ages were on TikTok right? This is demeaning and unnecessary.
