Me: I'm going to catch up on all my shows so I can escape the horrors of the world.

My streaming shows: *end the season*

Me, realizing that these shows aren't coming back forEVER:

Francesca Lia Block's "Weetzie Bat." It was almost made in the 90s, and again in the 2010s. It's a formative book for me as a late teen, and it would have been wonderful to have seen it come to life.

I'm a preschool teacher and I swear those kids would just eat ketchup with a spoon for all meals if they were allowed. The amount of times *per day* I sob "Eat the NUGGETS, not just the KETCHUP," I swear...

I was told Jesus loves me and that there is time to repent for my Dungeons and Dragons t-shirt and he LOVES ME, he DOES, and I was all "Can I just get my coffee so I can leave this very weird Dunkin Donuts, kid? Please?"

Yes you did. You absolutely DID vote for moms to get deported. You had no problem with it at all until it happened to someone you knew. Because magats can't see past the boot they're licking.

Every day at pickup, I ask my class of preschoolers what their favorite part of the day was.

Today MINE was the moment a Tesla up and DIED in the middle of a busy street. Just BLOOP and passed entirely away. The bro driving it looked so, so vexed.

Absolutely my favorite part of the day.

The other night I said to my 85 year old father, "Please. I'm begging you. Watch one video that's from a news source that isn't Fox or NewsMax. One. Please, dad, please.

"Your mother won't let me."

My dad is a brilliant man. But this is what has happened.

Me. Raised in a very strict conservative family, always leaned left, got politically active in '92, went to the most liberal college I could, and have gotten progressively more leftist since. I'm 47 and I'm on the rampage now.

I want to hold Newsom's hand and hurt his feelings, because if your *THIRTEEN* year old child is a "big fan" of Charlie fucking Kirk? You have fucked up so egregiously that you should not be responsible for a houseplant, much less the state of California.

He's gearing up for Kent State x 100. He's going to murder students. Mark my words, this is his plan.

This is entirely true.

As of February 28, 2025, I can be arrested and charged with a crime for teaching my students anything at all about diversity. Anything even considered "DEI" is a reportable offense.

If I teach my kids "I Love My Hair" I CAN BE ARRESTED.

We are living in hell.

Yes, I'm still thinking about her, and what she means to so many of us, so I made this. (edited for the proper handle of the photographer)

Now they want to take our psych meds. I won't. I will not go back to before I had the right meds. It isn't going to happen.

Every day I understand the anglerfish more and more.

I looked at my classroom of preschoolers today as they napped and almost started crying.

What has half this country done?

When do we fight back?

I need to protect my kids.

One of my preschoolers' hair bows came home in my pocket this weekend, which isn't a big deal because preschool teachers' pockets are always filled with "treasures" but in the pitch dark gloom of these days...Her little bow is literally tethering me to reality. I'll fight for you, little one.

I take my job as a teacher extremely seriously.

I will defend the children of my school, no matter what, with my life. From anyone. ANYONE.

Messing with teachers is a very poor choice.

I think we all feel that way. Like "what are these hots, I cannot explain them other than he's cute AND I cannot avoid the gaping maw of despair?"

Leonard Peltier has been wrongfully imprisoned longer than I've been alive. I cannot think of a time when I haven't been aware of that injustice and been vocal against it. At least since 1993 when I became politically active. What Biden did today was just, and right. Thank you, Joe.

I very seriously think we need to go back to zines and pirate radio.

to recap:
— Trump was *for* the TikTok ban
— which the GOP Congress passed
— and the GOP Supreme Court upheld
— and even though Biden said he wouldn't enforce the ban, TikTok shut down anyway
— so that Trump could "save" it
— and the media fell for it
we really do live in the dumbest fucking country

TikTok is jammed with Lives of people saying goodbye to each other. It's really sad.

I was introduced to the world of David Lynch at age 12, when Twin Peaks premiered, which was very on brand for me. I instantly loved Lynch's wild, weird, wonderful mind and what he created. Rest well, sir, in a bizarre heaven of your own creation.

Today at pickup, one of my sprouts greeted his dad thusly:

DADDY! I did NOT have a good day! I didn't LISTEN. I KICKED my TEACHER and I was NOT a kind friend. Go home and get a treat?

Their audacity is only matched by their adorability.

Pretty confident I've been shadowbanned on Threads for this post I made about Zuck. Allow me to shed one tiny, perfect tear for Zuck's poor widdle feefees.

Today I did a call and response to get my preschoolers to walk up the stairs in a timely if not utterly chaotic procession:

Me: I like to move it move it.

My kiddos: I WIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT

Me: I like to move it move it, I like to...

My kiddos: MOVE IT!!!

I have never been so proud of them.
