Every time Pattern has dialogue, I like to think their voice sounds like the brains from Futurama

A screenshot of a poem in the Notes app. The title, “Breath,” is listed at the top. The poem reads: I stare up, into white Cracks of black and grey shifting as the Breathing constricts and dilates through them And me I do not shift I cannot Movement of my own is no longer possible So I stay The white begins to darken The cracks fading to mere impurities ‘Til I’m left With nothing Even the Breathing has ceased As has mine
The dreary weather this morning made me want to try my hand at some poetry

Meanwhile, so much for “free speech” over at The Bad Place.
The grin on Kendrick’s face when he said, “Hey Drake” has me weak 💀
I finished listening to Babel by R.F. Kuang on my way home from work earlier. What a beautiful and wonderfully tragic story. The depth of the characters, humor, dialogue, racial ambiguities; all executed magnificently. Can’t wait to read more from Kuang

Thank you for your wise and thought-provoking words, dear Hoid. I will be most sure to keep them close as I venture forth
Had to pause my read of The Blade Itself because I was so ready to get back to the Cosmere and start Words of Radiance

Library Tip #8,000,001:
Have you heard about
digilibraries.com?
It’s available as a resource to read or publish books for free. 📚💙
Joe Abercrombie is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. The Blade Itself is the first work of his that I’ve read and I adore the tone he establishes from chapter to chapter.

Just finished Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio. I’ve heard this book is the weakest in the series and if that’s true, I can’t WAIT to continue Sun Eater. I absolutely adored this story

Just got libro.fm so I can support a local bookstore! I haven’t really done an audiobook before so I’m super excited to try it out!

It’s very fun!! Enjoy! 😁
It has been very epic so far. It’s a Space Opera and the first book in the Sun Eater series. Every review I’ve seen has this as the lowest rated book in the series and if that’s true I can’t WAIT for the rest of them.
I have to resist the urge to bring my book with me every time I go to the bathroom at work
If you’re afraid to write your book because you think its content stands no chance in the coming climate, Remember that banned books (and books victims thought the world would never see) are the only honest window we have into some of the darkest moments of history. Write the book. #booksky
Helpful!
👋👋 just finished Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman and currently on Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio!

Friendly reminder that if you buy a book on Kindle, you're only paying for the rights to read, not own. If a book truly gets banned, it will be taken away from digital platforms like Kindle, nook, etc. Consider getting physical copies of banned (or other) books!
