Average xG for of 0.88 for Leam vs 1.16 (still not great) for Noel Hunt in the first 16 games of 2025

I criticized Noel a lot during and after that period so what does this say about Leam?

This was an odd game to rate because I thought the game situation and a few forced subs in key spots stopped any #readingfc players from really excelling tonight, but I also liked the aggression and desire a good number of them showed

We're also looking at some real 442 vibes when out of possession. Keane has a half space role in poss. but is in line with Marriot in many situations

Honestly 442 has never been more alive and well than in the last year it feels like

Seeing #readingfc START in a 4-2 or 2-4 buildup when low far more since the new full backs have joined. Gives Reading some flexibility to beat the press

The key though, as seen in the last frame is that Roberts has a trigger to leave the buildup and head into wide space as a target for a long ball

Genuinely baffled by this #readingfc team under Leam but boy howdy do I like Haydon Roberts

Yiadom's side of the field on Saturday was responsible for 57% of Orient's total generated xG after the full back took a yellow card in the opening stages.

As I mentioned on the pod, I don't mind a well taken professional foul, but some of the yellows hurt #readingfc
