There’s an oak tree that is taller than our house just outside our fence. Archer has to go on prescription allergy medicine for a few months every fall. In the spring he can wallow happily away.

It’s the largest greyhound convention in the US which happens to be a 1/2 hr from my house. It’s like the United Nations of sighthounds. It’s a great chance to get together with rescues & rescuers from across the country & beyond.

My yard is pretty small but my house is 3 stories and my pods are constantly up and down. My greyhounds prefer a more sedentary life.

They’re not busy like a border collie or a husky, they’re great family dogs. But they’re not going to sleep 18 hours a day like a greyhound would.

Depends on the type of pod you get. They’re jumpers and climbers and diggers. My big girl has to have a 6 foot fence. My little girl is more likely to go under the fence than over. Maybe you could add something to the top of your shorter sections to raise the height.

Many varieties - here are our 2. You’ll need a good fence. Senior Sighthound Sanctuary allows foster to adopt. Whichever group you use, fostering first is a good idea. They’re different dogs but great fun - very energetic.
