The book has me reflect not only on the injustice of TB, but also on how much of health we attribute to moral (or racial, or religious, or national) superiority, perhaps because the truth - biology simply does not care - is so terrifying.

And I say *still* because as Green lays out, 1) it has been so, with very few interruptions, since antiquity and 2) we (as in, humanity) have very good treatments and protocols for prevention that could as good as eradicate TB quite fast and comparatively cheap.

I recently learnt we in Finland get free eBooks in the E-library app and I just finished @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social 's 'Everything is Tuberculosis'.
So if you didn't know; you can read eBooks for free on E-kirjasto, and the world's deadliest infectious disease is *still* tuberculosis.
