Absolutely.
I’d even say my approach as a leading contributor is to challenge system constraints vs competing within the constraints against peers. I aim to optimize performance overall. Comparatively, this positions me for higher roi.. An excellent byproduct but I’m mindful. Just getting started!

Dealt with dying parents at 22 & completely catapulted into the stem work-force.

I’ve accomplished a lot in the time being but I can’t say it hasn’t been exhausting by going the unconventional route.

I miss academia. Can’t wait to loop back full-force, the way that I want to.

I think about the honor roll streak that I maintained K-12 living with my parents. Perfect environment to just nerd out.

I remember working FT in college to afford my bills, always side-eyeing my peers who were falling behind & did not have to balance work.

I can only imagine if that were my life

Scholars who can live with parents/spouses as unemployed, FT students pursuing higher-ed are beyond lucky.

Maturing is realizing that it’s not always about brilliancy but having a strong foundation.. an opportunity I’d kill for. I often wonder what I could produce outside my corporate bottleneck 😆

I’ve kind of been obsessed with John Hopkins since I was in grade school. There was some summer program they had that I remember talking to my parents about but I was also very young at the time..

I’ve got to figure out how to get involved with this institution I’ve yet to stop thinking about lol

maybe im doing it wrong but i feel like the various crises of 2026 have revealed the limitations of this platform for me. twitter was always invaluable to me in chaotic times bc you had a lot of subj matter expert weirdos coming out of the woodwork. just dont feel like there's a much of that here rn

Conversations re: how merit increases are distributed — starting from an even baseline, then adjusted to reward higher performers.. Interesting to process my recognition reflects both my work and a limited shared pool across peers..

All making me more aware of my value & trade-offs within systems.
