In the very stupidest timeline, Trump would send everybody a check with his name on it for a "tax refund". He would instantly get 10% polling bump in this media environment even as Democrats screamed that he took it illegally!

However his ego won't allow him to admit that the tariffs are illegal.

Kids told me that the boss of Little Debbie is "Big Deborah"

Boys just hanging out in bed before reading, and I had already put on "Do You Feel Like We Do" by Frampton.

I had them listen when he starts with the talk box. Long conversation during the song about it, about how we hear it, and what sorts of instruments might exist outside the norm. Lots o' fun

I'd like to introduce you all to a personal project I've been working on recently. It's called Heimdall, and it's an MRMS + ProbSevere situational awareness monitor for CONUS scale severe weather. It's got roaming, alerts, archive mode, and is fully client side.

The pictures of the canals in Venice during COVID. Wow

We developed a group of friends who were not going out, and who we trusted to stay safe. We had pool parties. We had park playdates. We had family get togethers (although not at the holiday).

And we also had some porch parties with other friends who had to be out for other reasons.

My edgy COVID take was that while it was scary to have a new baby born then but, I got to spend every day with my postpartum wife and baby.

I worked, and then took my 3 year old exploring on his bicycle at lunch time. Car traffic downtown was non-existent so we could ride everywhere. It was magic.

I've been tracking Trump flags on the route to school last year. Went from 5 down to 1. The one also flies a Confederate flag with the Trump flag so you know it's not coming down.

Even as someone working in a field where AI is actually showing signs of benefit, totally agree with this sentiment.

I played this but there was an even earlier PGA Tour Golf on MSDOS that this was based on that i had as a kid.

My regular work shoes border on the line of dress and casual, but they discontinued the make.

I bought some new running shoes that have great support and I think they might still straddle that border.

And then I was looking around the office and noticed that they are the EXACT shoes my boss wears

I think a quick message that isn't being hit at is, "What does the AI revolution look like for the rural? Scams, surveillance, and rising electric bills with no responsibility and very little benefit.

Need to protect the elderly from these consequences.

I remember seeing the hype and thinking he's probably pretty good. Then they started broadcasting his HS games on TV, and it was "holy shit this unreal"

I live the reposts where I'm going, "oh that's so awesome" and I already liked it last year.

This is the biggest difference between my old bird profile and Bluesky - the number of talented artists I follow!
