We are proud to announce the ProView Express Kit:
π§ͺCreate your own virus-coated lenses using your preferred viral constructs
πSingle step surgery with reproducible, localized expression across cohorts
π§ More time to analyze amazing cell yields on IDEAS?! inscopix.github.io/ideas-docs/i...
More collaboration! Protocol development and testing with Yi Zuo & Sofia Beas, whose labs saw consistently beautiful fields of view in all animals implanted π€©
Several logistics prevent this. We also think the coating can be improved.
The Inscopix Discovery Lab collaborates with a Stanford team led by Eric A. Appel, resulting in a coating with slower virus release that increases the working time for surgical implantation.
A tale about academic & industry collaboration, and how it can help you achieve precise expression for in vivo calcium imaging:
It's 2019. Inscopix offers the only commercially available virus-coated GRIN lens. Neuroscientists are intrigued but ask us about using their unique viral construct. Hmm
π The vessel imaging quality is excellent - you wouldn't guess this is in vivo through a GRIN. There is so much to learn about neurovascular coupling, e.g., in disease specific brain areas and circuits, after drug, etc. I'm excited to see where this leads!

Agreed - kudos @thomasbienvenu.bsky.social π
New tool for studying brain vasculature in vivo: deep brain regions (PFC, nucleus accumbens) were visualized using Inscopix GRIN lenses & the versatile nVue dual color miniscope with sampling @ 100Hz (Supp. movie 4&5).
Gorgeous work, @hajimehirase.bsky.social and team!
New from the lab!! ππΌ authors.elsevier.com/a/1kgT43BtfH... π @cellpress.bsky.social We discovered that genetically-defined neuron types in the hippocampus form unique manifolds! Dual color imaging, chemogenetics and topological analysis all at once! With Juan Gallego @juangallego.bsky.social
