Have we gone so far that it's impossible to reclaim our privacy? Americans, in particular, have given up so much of our personal information for the sake of convenience that we never stopped to ask why we would do that - and what a company (or government) could do with all that data.
It seems unconscionable for a news org that touts the values of transparency and accountability to not share how it is pricing its products:
