I read Scott’s Understanding Comics, but not Making Comics. I might have to check it out.

So far, I think keeping the roughs simple and quick is the best way to go. Make sure the story flows the way you want before any details go in. Then ask someone you trust to read it over and see if they are picking up the story you are trying to tell.

A rough layout of my comic.

For me, the most fun and most stressful part of making comics comes in the rough draft stage. What story do I want to tell? What parts should be excluded? Is there a good flow? Am I thinking as the artist or the reader?

How do you all approach this process? Is it more fun or more stressful?

Sometimes superpowers manifest when we need them the most. 💪
