safronia Triumph and tragedy converge in this universal yet personal Afro-surrealist tale of the Great Migration by Chicago’s first-ever poet laureate, avery r. young.

Meagan McNeal, one of our gallery board members, is making her Lyric Opera debut this weekend as the title character in "safronia", a new musical work by Chicago's inaugural Poet Laureate avery r. young.

It looks like a really cool production, set for just a two-day run. Some tickets still left:

The patio at Back of the Yards Coffeehouse is really nice. ‘L’ Cafecito Jumping Bean has a cute patio, very small but it’s fun being right by the train. Hexe has a really large outdoor space in front, though the car traffic nearby makes it a bit less pleasant.

Je l'ai acheté, mais malheureusement je n'ai pas de reçu. Savez-vous s'il y a un organisme où je peux déposer une plainte contre le producteur?

Montréal is great for both! Especially if you come when the streets are pedestrianized.

Also bizarre to attribute this entirely to a generalized difference between Canada and the US, without engaging with why, for example, Montréal’s bus network is strikingly worse than Chicago’s on the chosen metric.

I truly believe the greatest minds of our time can come together to create a file copying tool that fails in new and exciting ways.

J’aime beaucoup. J’ajoute les mots de Dany Laferrière, auxquels je pense chaque printemps.

“In Eynem” describes it as a matter of degree, with מוז being stronger (the first page gives some examples and the second page gives explanation). “Yiddish II” describes מוז as obligation as opposed to necessity for דארף. They also behave differently in the negative.
