I was 28 and at work and I watched my first US inauguration on the tv. I thought it was a seminal moment that would usher in a better world.

The US fall from grace has been steep.

The positive effect to this is that it engages them earlier than they normally would, which I think would engage those who are 18 being more likely to vote also.

My issue would have been is that my dad would have instructed me who to vote for at 16 and I probably would have followed his advice.

We do have a constitution, but not in the way that the US has. Our constitution is codified within a number laws written over many centuries dating back to the Magna Carta to the present.
