It’s fantastic to see this discussed in The Guardian
Max - “Paper Moon” from Dishonured - Again. Ray - “Bloodshot Eyes” from Missing CD Plates (although…the base on “Tennessee Waltz” in Last Goon Show Of All really rocks)
“I’m so sorry but, being a small, family run hotel on the English Riviera, we’re rarely asked to prepare cocktails or salads from the United States. Could I offer you a G&T and a tomato salad instead?”
The first Hammer Frankenstein I saw and remains a favourite. A superbly creepy build up to the reveal of the Baron - Cushing is excellent. I’ve always wondered why we didn’t see the Herr Schneider character alive. I think it would have helped explain the look of the creature. Great film.
Bob, every time. Those glasses are wearing him.
You’ve certainly earned a break, your release schedule is astonishing but it must be exhausting. I don’t know how you manage it whilst maintaining your high standards. Ignore the doomsayers, your work is amazing and highly appreciated.

Merry Christmas Robin from another 56 year old…
I think this was taken at Theatr Clwyd when Tom was there in An Inspector Calls
@goldielookinchain.bsky.social you’ve just been a clue on Christmas edition of high brow quiz “Only Connect”!
I watched this last night, I had no idea it existed! It worked because the characters were so well established and the ‘sit’ was strong. It was Brittas version of “Jolly Boys Outing “. (I also believe it’s not too late for Chris Barrie to play Doctor Who)
This remains the catchiest Christmas jingle in history. It’s been in my head for 44 years!
Sad news, I was always interested in what he had to say as someone who knew and had worked with Spike.
