If we’d tried we couldn’t have played worse than we have in the final 15 minutes. For all his faults, the midfield has been non-existent since Lundstram went off.

Will be rather happy to see this diving bunch of shits get relegated, tonight or at the weekend, to be fair.
Masters of our own stupid fucking downfalls. Same story every game.
Now make THIS lead count, City.
Take lead.
Fail to capitalise.
Sit back.
Concede goal(s).
Drop points.
Rinse and repeat.
Not good enough.
Two wins will probably do. Whether we are capable of getting them remains to be seen…
Ranking the Kappa kits
Three years with Kappa Türkiye has yielded ten outfield kits, but now the end of that deal is in sight. Before we learn the successor to Acun Ilıcalı’s brand licence of the Italian marque, let’s look back and rank those outfield kits bearing the ‘Omini’ logo of a man and…
Refs like John Brooks, who seem desperate to make their mark on a game for no fucking reason, are really hard to take. He’d decided he was going to give a penalty no matter what there. That said, we seem to have done sort of allergy to going 2-0 up, and that really needs resolving.
This Uruguay ‘injury’ is where football shoots itself in the foot. If a player can shuffle on to the pitch he can shuffle the fuck off it. This sort of thing should be a yellow at least.
HUGE that. And deserved after being the better team for the first 70 minutes. We’re unlikely to go up automatically but consolidating a position in the play-offs is key and we’ve cone through three tough fixture with something to show for them. Phew!
Millar has been terrific all night but why has he started flying into tackles he’s going to get nowhere near? Would have left McNair on too. Nervy times…
That save by Pandur should see us awarded a goal.
Oh - and Ipswich’s fouls are bookable too, ref.
Larceny. Wonderful larceny. Famewo man of the match with Hughes and Egan not far behind. Lunny MILES better too.
Should be Joseph and Koumas off at HT, Crooks and Millar on, with Joffy out wide. Sorted.
Not convinced this front four is quite working yet. Koumas doesn’t offer the out ball that Millar does. Geldhardt’s guile more effective out wide. Not much cohesion so far.
Get the fuck in. Much better tonight. Great finish from Koumas.
Nob.
Where did that come from, John Egan? Van Basten-esque.
Derby really do have this ref in their pocket, don’t they?
Whenever we cough up possession in our own third - which is a lot - our shape and organisation is always, always all over the place. Shape in possession is as important as shape out of possession, particularly in our own third. And we don’t seem to be learning that.
Two poor teams, but only one was able to move down the gears to dreadful. #hcafc
We could not have done more to giftwrap this for QPR. Pathetic. Geldhardt, McBurnie, Lundstram, McNair, all just phoning it in. Giles’ delivery has been awful today too. Absolute shit.
We deserved to concede that. QPR didn’t deserve to score it but this has been a real couldn’t-give-a-fuck performance from City. No bravery, no energy, no real skill on show, utterly piss-poor decision making. There was a lot of credit in the bank but it is seeping away quickly.
Our decision making when under no pressure whatsoever really is baffling sometimes.
That doesn’t apply to Regan Slater, by the way.
Really wanted to cone away from this able to say we’d given it a good go, done ourselves justice. We haven’t.
Can we sack off five at the back now, please, and re-find a role for Kyle Joseph, who is a better option than most of the front three we’ve been playing of late?
You’re always a genuine HCSSer, Mark!
Didn’t think it was a second yellow for the Watford player at the time. Then saw the ref throwing yellows around for absolutely anything we did and realised that if he was being consistent it absolutely should have been a second yellow.
Four points probably more than we deserve from these two games - our movement and decision making in the final third has been awful in the last two - but it’s consecutive clean sheets and a point gained tonight all things considered. We always struggle against teams filled with pace.
Geldhart’s decision making is shocking tonight. Would be thinking about getting Joseph on. But Hughes really is sensational.
