another idea i've had was for a parasitic innocence that's just like. a plant (roses most likely) that activates and attaches itself to its chosen user after its bled on or something and reacts to that. i like the imagery of roses going from white -> red. whatever though.

all this to say i thought it would be cool as fuck to have an equipment type innocence thats a censer and uses smoke... or an innocence called seven sorrows and each ability/ is called first sorrow, second sorrow, etc. and more unlock as the sync rate goes up. whatever

the only thing holding me back is that i'm just never satisfied with imri's verse !!!! i have multiple ideas i just either dont feel satisfied with them or dont know how to apply that

sorry i've been thinking more and more about imri's transgenderism lately. i also think he isn't strictly a trans man, and especially as he gets older and more able to understand / express himself and understand his own feelings he's like pretty gnc with it as a nonbinary transmasc

in their canon this is also compounded with imri's ability to see ghost/spirits/etc which their mom is also kinda uncertain how to cope with. which kind of led imri to like.... drop it until he left to live with loreto (how exactly loreto is related to imri/their family still uncertain but w/e)

meanwhile in xiv verse since healers in their village are all culturally considered female and they were the high priestess they were just going to take their transgenderism to the grave because they didn't want to upset anyone or betray the expectations placed on them

so imri spent a long long time repressed and uncertain, not knowing how to explain himself or how their mom would react even if he could? and when he finally does try his mom gives a kind of "I want you to he happy but i'll always think of you as my little girl" esque response, at least initially

it's very much a situation where she struggled to accept it because like.... that's her Daughter, that's her Baby Girl. meanwhile being referred to like that always felt wrong and uncomfortable to imri even before he had the language for it.

like imri was attached to her hip as a child, just absolutely adored her. and he really still does? but there's a lot to do with imri's growing dysphoria and feelings of uncertainty as he got older, a lot of worry about communicating it to her and how she would react or what she would say..

imri's relationship with their mommy might be more tenuous than i initially thought. it is looking like they are estranged in fact
