he used to be my state senator & i am pretty sure he doesn’t have any nazi tattoos. however when he was the minority leader he did keep a sex pest in leadership, and i could tell some additional anecdotes about him being dismissive/condescending to women, so i’ll never like him 😭

The yes campaign in VA was refreshingly transparent and free from the usual manipulative messaging. TV ads acknowledged the ballot measure wasn’t ideal, but argued (correctly) that Trump started it and a yes vote was necessary to prevent a MAGA power grab. It’s good when voters are treated as adults

Gerrymander them to hell. I don’t care. More than one person I’ve personally known had to self-deport from their home in MPLS this year. No tactic off the table

That thing they do in marketing where a website asks if you want to sign up for whatever and the choices are "YES!" and "No, I'm a stupid little baby" I'll go ahead and click the stupid baby button. Nice try but I don't care

Shaffer was intent on conflating possession of paraphernalia with legalized drug use. Payne and Whiting had to correct her on the content of the proposal.

This is fucking embarrassing. Council members so intent on “being the adults in the room” that they are trying to travel back two decades in policy

I was at Walker library in Uptown Saturday (children and families were inside doing library stuff, seemingly unafraid). The county appears to have sawed off the stone bench that used to be fixed to the wall at the entry.

Interesting photo choice here. 😬 Just before this was taken, MPD pushed to the ground a woman bringing pizza for those protesting the killing of Winston Smith the day prior.

The city settled a lawsuit for hundreds of thousands of dollars after she sued stating she suffered brain injuries.

ICE detained more than 70 Minnesota children, data reveals Immigration officials detained more than 70 Minnesota children between Dec. 1 and March 10, a Sahan analysis of court records and federal deportation data shows.

ICE is obsessed with little kids. They consistently targeted schools at times children were being dropped off or picked up to inflict maximum cruelty. And in the article they continue to lie about it.

Abolish ICE and start prosecuting all these creeps.

Trump claimed "Operation Metro Surge" targeted the "worst of the worst." In reality, ICE ripped 70 kids away from their families, friends, and schools.

Our children deserve justice and accountability. That starts with abolishing ICE.

The Minnesota House approved a pair of bills yesterday brought forward by the son of the late House Speaker Melissa Hortman. Colin Hortman shared with lawmakers the difficulties he faced getting additional information about chemical irritants police used in his parents' home in an effort to find the person suspected of fatally shooting his parents. Because police didn't disclose the products they had used, Hortman experienced irritation to his skin and eyes after coming into contact with the substances as he went in to grab some belongings days after the June 14 shooting. His efforts to remediate his childhood home stalled because it wasn't clear what irritants were sprayed into the home. He also faced challenges getting insurers to cover the cost of cleaning to fully address the spread of the irritants. In testifying on the bills, Hortman said he didn't want others to experience the difficult situation his family did when they were already dealing with trauma. Lawmakers lauded him for

Police: our job is very dangerous so we need a lot of funding and special laws that protect us from any accountability. We must be able to kill people if we’re scared

Police when facing any danger whatsoever: hmm that’s too dangerous can’t do that. I could get hurt!

Police used a drone and saw Melissa Hortman wounded inside the home at 4:09am. It wasn't until 4:40am that police went inside to get her.
